Update as of June 7, 2021.
As previously announced, the World Contest set for August of 2020 in St. Petersburgh, Russia has been
postponed until the late summer of 2022.
We also wish to report that the World Contest, hosted by Ireland in September of 2021, has been
postponed until September of 2023.
These decisions were made after much deliberation while working closely with the current Health
Guidelines globally. Trusting that 2022 will promote a safer environment for everyone and we can once
again join our plow friends from around the World.
Our current reigning Canadian Champions, Carman Weppler and Daryl Hostrawser along with coach
Greg Timbers will prepare for the 2022 World Ploughing Contest in St. Petersburgh, Russia.
The next Canadian Plowing Contest will be hosted by the Manitoba Plowmen’s Association in May of
2022 at Rivers, Manitoba. This will determine the Canadian Plowing Champions for the World Contest in
Ireland in 2023. As more details unfold regarding the World Contest and the Canadian Championship we
will be sure to share.
