It is indeed an honour and privilege to be the new President of the Canadian Plowing Organization. The
plowing bug hit me at thirteen years of age in 1973. I have been fortunate to be able to either compete, coach or judge every year at county and provincial plowing matches since that time. Over the years I have been involved in various local and provincial associations in different capacities. I was able to be a
steward at two world matches as well. I have attended numerous Canadian Championships as a spectator, steward, and plowing judge over the past 20 years. I thoroughly enjoy being part of an organization and event, whose goal is simply to hold an annual Canadian Championship Plowing competition to declare Senior and Junior Canadian Champions. Our Senior Champions then go on to represent Canada at the World competition. It has been a pleasure to work with dedicated volunteers, board members and competitors from across Canada.
I am looking forward to our next competition being held on Wolfe Island, Ontario next
summer.
